“Neither the grace of the Divine Redeemer, nor the mighty intercession of His Mother and our spiritual Mother, nor yet her sublime sanctity, could lead us to the port of salvation, if we did not respond to them by our persevering will to honor Jesus Christ and the Holy Virgin with our devout imitation of their sublime virtue.”

These were the words of Blessed Paul VI, written in the Apostolic Exhortation 'Signum Magnum', to enlighten Christians to follow and imitate Mary.

Rector and Guardian of the Basilica of the Annunciation
"The first virtues of the Blessed Virgin Mary are not in the extraordinary, but in the ordinary things, in the daily living with the son of God and in taking care of this child of God. The second virtue is,in fact, the responsibility to dwell with them.”

Virtues that are present in the Holy Places related to the Virgin Mary, starting with the very city of Nazareth ...

Rector and Guardian of the Basilica of the Annunciation
"Here, the Blessed Virgin lived her daily life. The Annunciation took place in the daily life ... She lives with Jesus in the everyday life."

Another place in Nazareth that inspires us to exercise the virtues of Our Lady is the Church of St. Joseph, built on the home of the Holy Family.

Here, we can imagine Mary taking care of Jesus and St. Joseph, cooking, sewing ...

Humility, purity and service were also in the life of the woman whom God had chosen ...

Friar in service in the Basilica of the Annunciation - Nazareth
"The greatest virtues of Mary are found in the Basilica of the Holy Sepulcher at the foot of the Cross: the strength of Mary, the faith which made her believe, even in the darkness. In the darkest darkness, she continued to believe in the light that came from the Word of God and to the inner consolation she felt coming from the Father.”
